Light and sun in Downpatrick
Because Downpatrick sees long summer days (about 17 h 13 min) and short winter ones (about 7 h 18 min), the elevation your door faces makes a real difference. With the midday sun at about 12° in winter, a south-facing door brings light well into the room; a west-facing door catches hot late-afternoon sun in summer.
What happens after you enquire
Start with a guide price online or by phone. A surveyor then measures your opening in Downpatrick, checks levels and the lintel, and you receive a fixed written quote. After you approve it, the door is made to measure and fitted. Downpatrick is in an area we cover by arrangement: the survey is still free, and survey dates, delivery and any travel cost for delivery and fitting are confirmed in your quote before you order.
Approvals in Northern Ireland
Building control in Northern Ireland is run by district councils under the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland). We take on work in Northern Ireland by arrangement and confirm what approval your door needs before anything is ordered.
