Terms and conditions

The terms that apply to quotes, orders and fitting.

Last updated 25 October 2026

1. Who we are

Sliding Doors UK is a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16932889), registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. "We" and "us" mean S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd. "You" means the customer named in the quote.

2. Guide prices and quotes

Prices on this website and from the guide price tool are guide prices to help you budget. They are not offers. Your price is set out in a written quote after survey, for the specification recorded at survey. A quote is valid for the period stated on it. If the specification changes, we will re-quote before going ahead.

3. Surveys

Surveys for new and replacement doors are free and do not commit you to anything, including in areas we cover by arrangement. Repairs are priced from photos where possible; if a fault cannot be priced that way, a diagnostic visit costs £95 inc VAT, and we confirm this before we attend. If you would like a survey for a supply-only order, we confirm any charge when you book.

4. Ordering and cancelling

Our doors are made to your measured specification, so we do not place an order until you have confirmed the surveyed specification in writing. You can cancel free of charge at any time before we place the order for your doors, and we will tell you in writing when the order has been placed.

Goods made to the consumer's specifications are excluded from the 14-day right to cancel under regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where your contract is for services, such as a repair or building work to form or widen an opening, and it is agreed in your home or at a distance, you have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel. If you ask us in writing to start within that period, you will pay a proportionate amount for work carried out before you cancel.

To cancel, tell us clearly by email to info@slidingdoorsuk.uk or by post to Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. You can use the form below, but you do not have to.

Model cancellation form
To S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG, info@slidingdoorsuk.uk:
I/We hereby give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the supply of the following goods/service: ______
Ordered on / received on: ______
Name of consumer(s): ______
Address of consumer(s): ______
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is sent on paper): ______
Date: ______

5. Payment

Any deposit and the payment stages are set out in your written quote. We will not ask for payment of the balance before the work described in the quote is complete, unless the quote says otherwise and you have agreed to it.

6. Lead times and access

Your written quote states the agreed period for delivery or fitting. Lead times shown on this website are typical estimates to help you plan; we confirm your fitting date once your door is in production and will tell you straight away if anything affects it. You agree to give safe access to the opening on fitting day and to tell us about anything that affects the work, such as known structural issues, asbestos or restrictions on your property.

7. Building Regulations, planning and party walls

In England and Wales, for replacement doors we arrange Building Regulations compliance through a competent person scheme installer or by notifying Building Control, unless your quote says otherwise. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, your quote states whether a building warrant or building control approval is needed and who applies for it. Planning permission, listed building consent and any party wall notices (England and Wales) are your responsibility unless your quote includes them; we will point out where they may be needed. Structural work to form or widen an opening is carried out to an engineer's calculations and approved by the local building control body (in Scotland, under a building warrant), as set out in the quote.

8. Guarantees and your rights

Manufacturer guarantees on frames, hardware and sealed units are passed to you. Our workmanship guarantee is set out in writing in your quote. These are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

9. Supply-only orders

For supply-only orders you are responsible for the sizes you give us unless we have surveyed the opening, and for fitting, glazing compliance and Building Regulations compliance. Delivery is to mainland Britain at the price shown in your quote (£95 as a guide); Northern Ireland and islands are by arrangement. Please check goods on delivery and tell us about any damage as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours, so we can put it right quickly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Website content

Product images on this website are computer-generated to show door types and finishes. They are not photographs of completed installations, and colours on screen may differ from real finishes.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made.

12. Complaints

If something is not right, contact us first at info@slidingdoorsuk.uk or 0800 088 6248. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond in writing. If we cannot resolve it, you can get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice (England and Wales), Advice Direct Scotland or Consumerline (Northern Ireland), and we will tell you whether an alternative dispute resolution scheme is available for your complaint.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live and can bring proceedings in your local courts.
